First through Fourth Grade

Thursdays or Fridays from 8:00-8:50amDownload a printable PDF calendar

The theme of first grade centers on introducing the children to God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In second grade, the children become more aware of God’s great love for them and the need to respond to that love. They also begin to develop a better understanding of Jesus as they prepare for the celebration of Reconciliation and the Eucharist. In third grade the children are led to experience Jesus as friend and brother. They are further introduced to the Church as family and to the Creed. In fourth grade the students examine and come to appreciate what it means to be a Christian. Morality, through the Commandments and Beatitudes, is stressed.

Parents walk children into classes down in Yeazel Hall. Morning snacks are served before each session. Students are bussed to their public schools (Moses, Tecumseh, and Jamesville Elementary).

Fifth through Eighth Grade

Wednesday from 6:45-7:40 amDownload a printable PDF calendar

The curriculum for fifth grade centers on the study of all seven sacraments. In sixth grade, students are introduced in a new way to the Word of God. The lives of Israel’s great leaders in the Hebrew scriptures are studied.

Seventh grade students continue, on a deeper level, their study of Jesus through the Old and New Testament and eighth grade students come to a better understanding of their Catholic faith by studying who Jesus was and who He wants us to be.

A morning snack is available before class. At dismissal, students are bussed back to JD Middle School.

Ninth through Twelfth Grade

Tuesdays from 6:45-7:40 amDownload a printable PDF calendar

A morning snack is served before class. Ninth and Tenth grade students attend a series of seven-week mini courses including the following topics: scripture, morality, decision making, Paschal Mystery, Sacraments, and the Church. The curriculum for juniors centers on social justice, apologetics, and the liturgical calendar. Seniors meet together to discuss the realities of living your faith and taking it with you to college. Students are bussed to JD High School following class.
