Obituary
John F. Rozzano, 76, of Syracuse, NY, passed away April 19, 2024. John was born in Syracuse and was a graduate of Henninger High School and the Continental Beauty School. He was a hair stylist for over 50 years, having worked at the Hotel Syracuse, Christopher's Beauty Salon, and ultimately Richards' Salon D'Elegance. John also worked for over 17 years at Varick Winery and Vineyard as a tasting room attendant, inventory clerk, salesclerk, and decorator. He loved SU football, traveling, camping, baking, and caring for his family and friends.
John is survived by Richard Russell, his partner of 37 years, his brothers, Robert Rozzano (Jennifer Clark) and Joseph Rozzano, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, Samuel F. and Betty Rozzano, his brother, Samuel D. Rozzano (Brenda), and his sister, Mary Cook (Ed).
Calling hours will be held from 4 pm to 7pm on Wednesday April 24, 2024 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd., (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
A funeral Mass in celebration of John's life will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Holy Cross Church, 4112 E. Genesee St., DeWitt, NY. John will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum, 4100 E. Genesee Street, DeWitt, NY, following the Mass.
